Is that even a song?

A voice of a singer singing a typically tawdry songs has been bugging for months. The landlady who owns this rentroom has several relatives living with her. Some of them like that kind of tawdry songs. I don’t feel really disturbed, I was just concerned about the popularity of this kind of song.

Songs like “cinta satu malam” (one-night stand) or “keong racun” (poison snail) or “hamil duluan” (pregnant out of wedlock) and other menially written songs are shallow yet popular. Is this how regular Indonesian respect their culture? By producing and being proud of singing vulgar songs brought by sensual and erotic singers? If this continues, I am afraid that inviting sensual singers for political campaigns are just inevitable in order to gain votes.
